In Kingdom Hearts, players embark on an adventure with Sora, a cheerful teenager who teams up with Disney characters like Donald Duck and Goofy to fight the darkness. It was subsequently included in the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix Collection for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and Nintendo Switch. A high definition remaster version, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, was later released worldwide for PlayStation 3. The game’s success led to an extended re-release entitled Kingdom Hearts Final Mix in Japan in December 2002. This was the beginning of the Kingdom Hearts series, a unique collaboration between Square and The Walt Disney Company. Kingdom Hearts, a 2002 Action Role-Playing video game, was developed by Square for the PlayStation 2 console.
